It's Just A Feeling

Jade's POV

I had been in New York City for a week now and hadn't been much of anywhere except to a few places with Oliver, Serena, and the kids. It was nice, yes. But to many people for me. I was asleep this morning when I recieved a call from Serena asking the last time I heard from Oliver. When I told her yesterday after we got back he came by to make sure I was okay after being out for so long she proceeded to tell me what had happened. Oliver had been taken and she had no idea where he had been taken or by whom.

Silent tears slide down my cheeks as I began to frantically search my mind for a clue of some kind. I told her if I heard anything from him I would immediately let her know.

After hanging up and gathering my composure, I stood and got dressed. I pulled my hair back in a ponytail and headed out the door. I let the security guard know I was leaving and would be returning as I left the building.

Evan's POV

I was walking the streets of New York City minding my own business and thinking of my ex, Jade when out of nowhere I saw her coming out of a well to do hotel. What the hell was she doing in New York? Hell, what was she doing in the states?

I walked quickly, following her but keeping my distance for now. I noticed how cautioned she carried herself and knew my task would not be easy. I smirked thinking of how she was going to react to seeing me again.

I wondered when she would realize we were meant to be and let things flow as they are suppose to.

I continued to follow her formulating my plan as I did so, not wanting her to know I had found her yet I didn't let her know I was there.

Jade's POV

As I rounded a corner south of the hotel, I got this eerie feeling I was being followed. I stopped abruptly and turned around seeing no one I recognized I turned back and continued on my way to get me some breakfast.

I brushed the feeling off as not going out alone in the city yet. I was just being paranoid was all. Yeah, that had to be it. No one was following me. Why would they anyway? No one knew I was here besides Oliver and he had been...taken or disappeared, something anyway. Could it be connected to that? No. Definitely not. Totally different situation.

I entered a small cafe and sat down for coffee and a pastry, watching the morning go by still unable to shake the feeling of being watched or followed.
