Leaving It All Behind

Jade was fighting herself on whether or not to call Oliver. She kept pacing around her room looking at her closet then at her phone, when it rang again and it was from Derek. She threw it down on the bed and walked into her closet pulling out a bag and started throwing clothes and things in it. Once she was done she threw the strap over her shoulder, grabbing her phone and wand, then headed out the door. She sighed and squinted her eyes at the sun then turning and walking back inside she enchants the fish food to feed Bagera and Moglie once a day then heads back outside. She pulls her phone out of her pocket and dials Olivers number hitting send before she could change her mind, yet again. She really needed someone to talk to. So she waited on him to answer as she walked down the street not knowing where she wanted to go but determined to get the hell as far away from Derek and Mila as she could.

Oliver looks at his phone and debates answering it, since he was playing with the boys. Then he figures she knows he has a child so why not. "Hello! How are you doing?" He moves the phone from Max's reach as he waits for her to reply.

She sighs. "Not that great. I left. I'm walking and I don't know where I want or need to go. How are you?"

"Walking? What's wrong? I would offer to come get you but I am in New York City with Serena and the boys. Her grandmother died, and I needed to be there for her."

"Derek came over and decided he could tell me what to do. So I packed my bag and left. I need out of here." She continued walking. "Can I come there? Or should I find somewhere else to go? I really need someone to talk to but if it's a bad time I completely understand."

"Well, give me one minute okay?" He hands the phone to Landon, "I need to go talk to mommy real quick, don't let your brother touch this." He runs into the other room and after a couple minutes he comes back and takes the phone. "Thanks buddy, you did a great job. Jade, are you still there? Sorry about that. Okay, I am going to text you an address, when you get here find that address and you will have a room ready for you." Smiling as he sits beside the boys "Serena's family owns the hotel, she is going to set everything up so you can get away from there. Its yours as long as you need it."

"Thanks alot, Oliver and thank Serena for me." She closes her eyes and sighs. "Um...are you going to be there?" She asks unsure if he was going to come over so they could talk or not. She stops walking and looks around edging into a alley so she could apparate there when she was ready. "I am 2 floors above your room, helping with the boys. But when you get here let me know and I will come down. Tell the guy at the front you need to see Eric, he will help you."

"Ok. I'm going as soon as I get the address. I'll see you soon. You have no idea how much this means to me." She smiled into the phone. "I will send the address right now, let me hang up and then call me as soon as you get in the city." He hangs up and texts her the address so she will have it by the time she apparates in.

She disapparated into New York City then took out her phone and looked at the address the started walking, It was only 3 blocks away. She arrived at the hotel and walked in going to the front desk. "Uh...I was told to ask for Eric."

Eric smiled at her and took her up to her room and gave her the key, telling her if she needed anything to call down to the desk. She turned to him and smiled. "Thanks." She looked around the room, it was huge. She picked up the phone and texted Oliver that she had made it and was in her room then took her bag to the bed and threw it on it, walking back over to the couch and sitting down feeling like a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders. Oliver read the text and smiled, telling Serena he was going to go see Jade. Serena was fine with it but asked him to take Landon so she could get Max to take a nap. He nodded, picked up his son, and promised he'd be back shortly. He went to Jade's room and knocked on her door. "Be good Landon, can you do that for daddy?" Laughing as Landon nods, they wait for her to open the door.

Jade gets up off the couch and opens the door, smiling. "Hi, Oliver." She looks over at Landon. "And who is this handsome young man?" She asks as she steps aside for them to come in. Oliver smiles as he walks by her, giving her a one armed hug. "This is my son, Landon. Sorry, Serena is trying to get Max down for a nap so she asked me to bring him with me." He puts Landon down and hands him his phone, helping him find a game to keep him entertained. "Is the room okay? I didn't think you needed one that was too big, but if you need more space we can fix that."

"The room is great and really I don't mind you bringing your son. He's adorable." She sighs and sits on the couch putting her face in her hands. "I'm sorry to pull you away from your family." Looking back at Landon and smiling before joining her. "Hey, it's okay. I told her you were my friend and you needed me. Might be part of why Landon is with me but I don't mind."

She laughs. "Ah....well, anyway. I don't think I could hold much more in. I haven't been able to talk to anyone about anything for a couple weeks now."

"I told you that I am here if you need me. So, how can I help you?" He looks at her concerned but tries to hide the concern with a smile. "I don't really know how anyone can help me. I keep having all these memories coming back to me and no one to talk about them with. Like I remember why I was in the club that night but I can't tell my sister or Derek. Especially, Mila."

"Well, I am not going to force anything you don't want to tell me, but maybe if you let it out you'll feel better. I won't judge or anything." He looks from her to Landon who is still playing with the phone. She takes a deep breath then looks over at Oliver. "I was in the club that night because I found out the day before my boyfriend cheated on me with my sister. I broke up with him and he told me there was no way he would let that happen. He was possessive and controlling. Everybody around knew about it and it was embarrassing knowing that he would rather have my sister than me." She sighs leaning her head against his shoulder as the tears begin to fall. "It wasn't the first time she's done that to me. She done it alot over the years."

"Wow, that is bad. Your sister? That is the one person who is supposed to look out for you and not hurt you." He rubs her shoulder and then sighs. "I bet it was him, who hurt you at the club. He figured if he couldn't be with you, no one should be. Or I don't know, I forgot I am not supposed to judge." She grins. "I've thought of that to. So don't worry." I watched Landon for a few then sighed. "Um...have you ever heard of anyone having visions? Like of the future and stuff?"

"I have heard of alot of stuff, I mean that little guy over there is an empath. So I know anything is possible. But tell me about your visions. Are they bad?"

"Sometimes. But other times they're good." She shudders thinking about her last vision. She bites her lip and continues. "He's coming after me...." Her voice caught in her throat. "He? Your ex? When and where, because he has no idea you are here does he?"

"I don't know when or where. But in my vision he found me." She sits back up and looks away from him not wanting him to see the fear in her eyes. "No one knows I'm here except you and whoever you told. But none of them should know him."

"I know everyone Serena knows and her family really only knows people who are in the fashion business. So unless he is a glamorous fashin designer, you have nothing to worry about." She sighs a sigh of relief. "Um...can you tell the front desk that if anyone besides you asks for me to tell them I'm not here. I don't want anyone knowing I'm here." She asks looking at him with pleading eyes and biting her lip. "I will do it right now, can I use your phone? Mine is being used." Looking back and smiling when he realizes Landon fell asleep. "Well, now I just don't want to get up."

I chuckled. "You want me to lay him on my bed so he'll be more comfortable?" She asks as she hands him the phone. "I should take him back up to the apartment, but I guess him napping here isn't terrible." He stands up to get Landon and then carries him to her bed. Laying him down then kissing his nose before coming back to the couch. Handing her hone back he uses his and tells the front desk that if anyone is looking for Jade she ins't here, and then smiled before saying bye. "They have you in this room under my name. So no one will be able to find you here."

"Thank you."She sits back. "By the way, your son is adorable." She turns and grins at him.

"Thanks I think so myself. You should meet Max too. They are both my world." He grins proudly.

"I would like to meet Max." She nudges his side."I feel alot better after talking to you. I really appreciate it." She closed her eyes leaning her head against the back of the couch. "I am glad you feel better. That is a good thing. You are safe here, and like I said I am two floors away if you need me." He looks at her and smiles. "Next time I come down I will bring Max. Or you could always come up and meet Serena and Max when you are up for it."

"That sounds nice. "She opens her eyes and smiles laughing. "I can't believe I just picked up and left."

"I have done it before, its not easy." Looking at her and then looking at the table. "I have a past, some of it I am not happy about, but in the end I can't really say I would've done much different." Turning to smile at her. "Don't we all have a past we're not proud of, Oliver? At least some of it?" she nudges him. "I guess you are right." He smiles and laughs. "So tomorrow lets plan a little sight seeing?"

"That would be great. This is the first time I've been to New York before, I would love to go sight seeing." She said getting a little excited. "Well, I think we should go do a few things. I can't promise who comes, but I can promise we will have fun."

"Oh, I don't mind who comes. I just need to get out some and what better way than to go sight seeing with my friend." She smiles at him.

He smiles and then sighs looking at Landon* "I hate to leave, but I need to get back upstairs. I will bring you some dinner later if you want. Just call or text me." He stands and hugs her before going to get he son. "I am glad you are here. If I can sneak away again I will be back, but the night time is when Serena seems to be to must bothers by her grandma being gone."

"Ok, thanks again. I'm glad to be here to." She smiles at him as he picks Landon up. "I'll see you later." She follows him to the door. He bends down and kisses her quickly before walking out of the room. "If you need me, call me. Anytime, seriously" He smiles and moves Landon onto his shoulder, then waves bye to her.

She waves back and watches as they disappear down the hall. She closes the door and locks it then going to the windows and making sure they are secure she falls across the soft comfortable bed and is asleep within minutes.
